3 important things to know about leasing
- Leases are short term and typically last for three-years.
- Leases have mileage restrictions (usually around 10K-12K//per year) and going over them can equal hefty fees. If you mostly stick around your Jacksonville IL or Taylorville areas you might be fine, but if you like to road trip or have a long commute then leasing probably wouldn't be a great choice!
- With a lease you must follow the maintenance schedule and use Genuine Parts and Accessories.
How to prepare for your dealership visit
- Know your budget. This includes how much you're willing to pay each month and how much you'll put down, even if it's $0. Keep in mind that leases also require higher levels of insurance.
- If you are set on a particular model, have one or two trims in mind that you want to test drive.
- Check out the new vehicle specials for monthly offers. You might even be eligible for special program. And don't forget to read the fine print!
- If you're fairly certain you're going to lease, have insurance set up ahead of time so you can leave with the car.
At our dealership we aim to make the leasing process fast, easy, and transparent. We don't use a lot of jargon or try to confuse you with numbers. If you have any questions along the way, don't be shy!
What to expect once you're here
- You'll be greeted by a sales member who will set you up on a test drive.
- The test drive will take about 10-15 minutes. Now's the time to ask as many questions as you want.
- If you haven't done the finance application ahead of time, you can fill it out at our dealerships. This will include pulling your credit history.
- Even though you probably plan on returning a lease, ask about lease buy out options and what happens if you start to approach your mileage limit, that way you know just in case.
